Born in Fukuoka. A unique fiber art innovator with a PhD (art). Exhibited at exhibitions in Italy and other parts of Europe. Works that make full use of dyeing and weaving techniques such as weaving, dyeing, and pleating are evaluated as contemporary art beyond the boundaries of crafts. Active in a wide range of fields such as regional promotion centered on traditional crafts, protection of cultural properties, dissemination of design education, and product production.
